Visioning

Having a vision for your district or school sets the stage for all decisions moving forward. Administrators, teachers, staff, and students all have a role in the development of the vision.

Visioning is made of several components: guiding principles, key words, student learning, curriculum, and organizational structure. Visioning identifies issues associated with the facilities and program delivery.

Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are discussed, and small and large group activities concentrate on teaching and learning. What are the goals? What are teachers and students doing now? What will they be doing in the future? How can space facilitate these activities?
